Linen

The linen (Flax) is a fiber that requires almost nothing from the soil. Sown in spring across northern Europe, a region where linen is recognised as the finest in the world, the plant grows in barely a hundred days, without excessive irrigation or heavy inputs. Once harvested and left in the field, it is exposed to rain, sun, and the elements of nature that can only separate the fiber from the stem, a process no machine can replicate as well. Spun then woven, it yields a breathable fabric, slightly rough at first touch, that softens with each wash without ever losing its shape. It is one of the most durable and resilient natural fibers.

We work with a family-run weaver located in the heart of this same region, where the craft has been passed down for generations. There, selecting the fiber remains a matter of the eye and the hand. Every metre of fabric is inspected, and mended by hand where needed, before it reaches us. An entirely European production, traceable from field to fabric: this isn’t just one option among others, it’s a standard we refuse to compromise on.

Wool

Wool is a natural, durable, and recyclable fiber. It grows on a sheep’s back, and shearing is essential to its wellbeing. Resistant to twisting and tension, and wrinkle-free, it holds its shape year after year. Its true quality lies elsewhere: it warms without smothering, it breathes, absorbs moisture and regulates body temperature, in both summer and winter. Among the finest fibers, merino wool stands out for its exceptional fineness and remarkable softness, gentle even on the most sensitive skin.

We work with a British company, a recognized specialist in worsted wool, where the pursuit of quality has been passed down without interruption for over two hundred years. There, each fleece is selected by hand. Each stage of combing and spinning follows a pace only a craftsman can master, within a framework of strict compliance where every meter is inspected and every piece is held to the highest standards before it reaches us. This rare continuity, ensuring fully traceable production, has endured through the ages without ever compromising on quality.

Screen-printing

Our printed designs are applied by screen printing in a French workshop. This technique involves a precise process: passing the ink through a finely crafted stencil. It captures every subtle detail of the design and produces colors of great intensity.

This process dates back centuries, inherited from Asian stencil techniques before being adopted and refined by the textile industry. The ink penetrates deep into the fabric fibers rather than sitting on the surface, giving it a remarkable lasting quality : the colors withstand repeated washings while retaining their vibrancy and precision.

Embroidery

Embroidery creates a raised motif. It gives the design a tactile presence and a silky texture. First, the drawing is digitized, stitch by stitch. The thread then passes through the fabric, and the needle repeats the motion thousands of times until the design takes shape.

Our pieces are embroidered in a small workshop of human scale in France, backed by long-standing expertise and equipped with high-precision machines calibrated to reproduce the most subtle details of the designs without ever compromising the finesse of the stitches.

Finishes

Every detail of our pieces is crafted in France, in workshops where handwork remains central. Every seam, every finishing touch is executed with care and precision to enhance the fabric and its drape. Each piece is finished by hand, one at a time, and rigorously inspected before leaving the workshop.
